2015 Mazda6 Design
Inspired by the 2011 Mazda Takeri Concept, the 2015 Mazda6, on sale here at Antelope Valley Ford Lincoln Mazda in Lancaster, California, is the latest vehicle to display the Mazda “KODO” design language, and its eye-catching style is making it a must-see in one of the highest-volume vehicle segments.
Like any great design, KODO, or “Soul of Motion,” starts off with a strong first impression. In the case of the 2015 Mazda6, that’s created by the imposing grille, narrow headlamps and the chrome strip that ties the two together. This accent is the lower edge of the grille opening and then flows upward to form the leading edge of the headlamps. There is also a smaller chrome accent within the headlamp assembly. Moving back from the headlamps, a long hood and rounded, sweeping fenders help finish off the strong face of the all-new 2015 Mazda6.
The sleek roofline helps give the sedan a coupe-like profile, while the chrome-trimmed side window openings add a more upscale touch. Complementing the pronounced fenders, body creases running along the sides give the Mazda6 an athletic stance.
