In the CX-5 Grand Touring, the standard SKYACTIV-G 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is replaced by a SKYACTIV-G 2.5-liter four-cylinder with Variable Valve Timing that brings horsepower up to 184 (from 155), and torque up to 185 lb/ft (from 150). A SKYACTIV-Drive six-speed automatic transmission with manual-shift mode is also standard in the Grand Touring. The 2014 CX-5 offers two engine choices. The first is a 2.0-liter SKYACTIV-G (“G” for “Gasoline”) four-cylinder engine that produces 155 hp and 150 lb/ft of torque through a SKYACTIV-MT six-speed manual transmission or available SKYACTIV-Drive six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode. This combination nets a best-in-class EPA-estimated 26 mpg city and 35 mpg highway.

If you want more power, a SKYACTIV-G 2.5-liter four-cylinder is available, and it delivers 184 hp and 185 lb/ft of torque through the SKYACTIV-Drive six-speed automatic. Fuel economy is an equally impressive EPA-estimated 25 mpg city and 32 mpg highway. Compare that to the RAV4, which produces only 176 hp and 172 lb/ft of torque yet still only manages 24 mpg city and 31 mpg highway. Inside, the CX-5 standard features include power side mirrors with integrated turn signals, a rear spoiler, push-button start, an audio system with USB and auxiliary jacks, and a multi-information display.
